Michelle Beaudette-Grates is the owner and creator of Girlie Girl Salon and Tenue lifestyle boutique. A graduate from Wayne State University, she was inspired by the Fred Segal L.A. shopping and salon concept. While working there in the mid 90’s, she also attended the Joe Blasco Makeup School and was lucky to assist Sharon Gault, Klexius Colby and Victor Josef. She freelanced hair and makeup for ten years in L.A., Miami and Detroit before opening Girlie Girl in 2005. She apprenticed to get her cosmetology license and has since been certified in Lavish Lashes, Minx Brow Lamination and the Beverly Hills Lash Lift.

Suzanne knew from age five that she would be a stylist one day! After attending Wayne State University, she started her hair journey at David Pressley School of Cosmetology. She first worked at Edwin Paul Salon (for 11 years) before Michelle opened Girlie Girl in 2005 – She was thrilled to be able to work for her sister! Suzanne has attended classes all over the world to further her knowledge of techniques and trends – Toni & Guy, Dessange, Vidal Sassoon in Miami, Toronto, Los Angeles, London and many more. She is a huge animal lover and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Suzanne specializes in precision cutting & blending, and loves to make her clients feel beautiful!

Bridgette will work hard to get you to your hair goals. She has attended multiple Vidal Sassoon cutting classes and takes pride in precision cuts. Bridgette is always looking to further her education, whether that is finding the latest color trends or finding the best product for your hair! She is a great listener and will send you out of Girlie Girl feeling your best!

Jessica gives every client a spa-like experience – from therapeutic scalp treatments to on-trend cuts & color. Plus, she’s trained and committed to providing attractive solutions for hair loss and thinning. Her certifications include keratin, tape-in, and weft extensions, and HairTalk semi-permanent hair pieces. Jess combines decades of experience, genuine care for people, and a passion for keeping up with the latest styles to help you look and feel your best!

Jewel is an apprentice under Jessica at Girlie Girl Salon, building her skills behind the chair with a passion for styling and creating looks that make people feel beautiful. She loves learning new techniques and is dedicated to growing into a skilled stylist who provides a relaxing, welcoming experience for every guest. Trina graduated from the MI College of Beauty in 1993. She worked mainly doing acrylic nails and manicures for 15 years, and now specializes in natural nails, Shellac and pedicures. Trina loves to chat, laugh and meet new people. She is always upbeat and smiling! She loves what she does and is happiest making people feel good about themselves – Making  their nails and toes beautiful!

Jessica has been a licensed esthetician since 2009, after graduating from Paul Mitchell The School of Michigan. With a true passion for helping clients achieve their skincare goals, her dedication shines through in every service she provides.

She specializes in medical treatments such as HydraFacial, Diamond Glow, and Nano-Needling, and is also highly skilled in dermaplaning, full-body waxing, lymphatic drainage, and the Beverly Hills Lash Lift & Tint. Jessica’s wide range of expertise allows her to tailor treatments to each client’s unique needs, making every experience both personalized and relaxing.

Khaled graduated from Irene’s Myomassology School in 2021. He believes massage can help to maintain a healthy lifestyle and prides himself on listening to what the client needs. He specializes in deep tissue, Swedish massage, stretch, reflexology, scalp and facial massage, hot stone and prenatal. He is passionate about massage and it reflects in the service he provides!

Toni graduated from Michigan College of Beauty in 2019 and began her career at Woodhouse Day Spa Detroit, where she had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients—from athletes and doctors to entertainers and well-known public figures. Specializing in natural nail care, shellac, and a variety of pedicures and treatments, Toni is passionate about helping each client look and feel their very best. She truly loves her work and finds joy in making people feel confident, cared for, and pampered.
